Khubla Gate
The Khubla Gate is one of the most serene entry points in the Pench Tiger Reserve in the Maharashtra side of this forest . It provides the gateway to the Saleghat Zone, which is part of the Mansinghdeo Sanctuary area. Khubla Gate is highly recommended for those who prefer a serene environment during jungle safari. Here visitors can experience calmness during safari as compared to other main core gates like Sillari and Turia which have heavy jeep traffic.
As for wildlife sightings , the tiger density is good, sightings here often require a bit more patience. However, visitors can enjoy excellently at this zone for spotting leopards, sloth bears, and Indian Gaurs (Bison). Wildlife enthusiasts can have monsoon access for this gate , as this is the extended part of the sanctuary and it provides ‘Green Pench’ experience during monsoon season.
How to reach
Khubla gate is located in Khubla village of Saoner taluka in Nagpur. It is at an average distance of 65km from Nagpur, and the entry gate of the zone is accessible via NH-547 (Nagpur-Jablapur highway).
Safari timing
There are 02 shifts i.e. morning &evening. Morning shifts are from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. Evening safaris are from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Booking details
nationalpark.mahaonline.gov.in is the official site for booking safaris. One has to register on this site & after going to the life section you need to fill in details like name, age, gender, nationality, and photo id proof numbers. For Indian nationals Aadhar card, passport, driving license, voter id etc. are valid. For Non-Indians passport details & country is mandatory. By booking a safari you only secure your seat for safaris. Rest formalities are done on the safari day itself.
