Maharashtra Gate

Surewani Zone comes under Maharashtra Pench National Park. It is the extended part or buffer zone of the Pench Tiger Reserve. The forest is dense and beautiful with a variety of flora and fauna. The forest is home to tigers, leopards, wild boars, chitals, sambars, sloth bears, wild dogs, and many bird species.

The most cost-effective way to explore the flora and fauna of the national park is to travel on a Jeep safari. Jeep Safaris operate in two shifts, one in the early morning and another in the evening. The Jeep Safari is done only with vehicles registered with the park administration as private vehicles are not allowed inside the park.

Surewani allows a maximum of seven vehicles to enter the park each morning and another seven vehicles to enter the park each evening. Each Jeep can take up to 6 travelers other than a driver and one naturalist. Afternoon safari is closed on 26th January & 1st May every year and completely closed every Monday. Besides, one can also arrange for a night safari in this Pench zone.
